NATIONAL COMPETITION THIS SPRING! CONTACT US TO GET INVOLVED!
Start by understanding the requirements to become a club at your school, then follow the general guidelines below. Much more detailed process & information is located here.
Reach out to USCCO: For help with the process and advising from our club development team.
Gather Interest: Recruit a core group of interested students. Most schools require a specific minimum number of students to start a club, figure out this number so that you can proceed.
Draft a Constitution: Create a club constitution outlining the club's purpose, structure, and rules. You can use this constitution tailored for calisthenics-based clubs that we have made a template for, or your school may also provide a generic constitution template to edit from.
Submit Paperwork: Complete the required paperwork for your school's club office. This may include attending necessary meetings as well.
Secure Funding (Optional): While calisthenics requires no equipment in essence, some items are nice to have. Refer to your school's funding methods for clubs to see if you can secure funding for equipment and events. Obtaining sources of funding from fundraising events is also a great idea.
Obtain a dedicated advisor from USCCO: A person or team that is dedicated towards the growth and prosperity of your club and members. Expect long-lasting connection with your advisor, along with calls, event recommendations, club health support, and problem mitigation.
Training Sessions & Event Recommendations: Tried & true methods that other schools have done for themselves, look into the references from other schools and implement any aspect of them for yourselves.
