Calisthenics is a multi-disciplinary form of fitness focusing on bodyweight exercises to build strength, flexibility, and endurance. It's not just a sport but a method of self-improvement and a true vehicle for cultural exchange. While there are many different forms of Calisthenics, we at USCCO understand it as four main categories of bodyweight movement and mastery.
Power calisthenics is for the athlete that wants exceptional command in moving weight. Consists of weighted pull-ups and weighted dips.
Sets & Reps are the true test of grit & warrior mentality. Encompassing the tried & true "street workout" culture, Sets & Reps is endurance-based with high repetition counts of the fundamental base movements of calisthenics.
Statics calisthenics for athletes chasing the four pillars of calisthenics. Focuses on maintaining a fixed position for a set duration.
Freestyle calisthenics is where the athlete can fully express their art. Composed of freestyle dynamics and static elements, the athlete can create some of the most unique combinations of art flow in the bodyweight world.
